Unexpected Journey

Unexpected Journey is platformer game prototype that took the concept of Optical Illusion together with environmental audio to create atmospheric spaces that might not be like what you see.

The theme for this prototype is "Optical illusion".

During my research on optical illusion image, I took interest in the use of graphic composition to create the sense of 3D space on 2D image. It was not anything new or profound since that is the basic of perspective drawing. But I still found it interesting to apply them into a digital game  where you can move and interact with the levels, especially with the help of environmental audio to enhance the sense of said spaces.

This was one of the project that unexpectedly went well and I had a lot of fun making all the asset and trying them out.
